Erv and Julie Keller opened their first store in 1956 on Orangeburg Avenue in Modesto. They carried school supplies, toys, greeting cards, sewing notions, some gifts and had an “old fashioned” candy counter – a favorite among many local children. Ultimately, they had five stores throughout the area including one in Ceres. As their customers’ tastes changed, so did Keller's, moving into fine gifts, china & crystal and housewares. The new merchandise focus was a success and sales soared. Erv & Julie decided to consolidate all of their stores into one store providing their growing customer base with one location to fulfill all of their needs.

Keller’s opened at its current location in McHenry Village in 1978. In the 25 years since, Keller’s has remained family owned and operated. In 2002, their daughters, Joyce and Cherie, took ownership of the store. With the addition of Cherie’s son, Joshua, the store has been moving in exciting new directions. The family is determined to maintain Keller’s status as the premier destination for the best names in gifts, housewares, fine crystal & china at the best prices.

Keller’s has always attempted to combine the classical and the new resulting in a selection of merchandise unique and unmatched in the area. The Keller’s annual Christmas Gallery is a result of this philosophy: Every year customers can be sure to find the most magnificent, timeless, and contemporary decorations in the Gallery, which has become a holiday tradition in its own right for many valley residents.

Keller's takes pride in providing excellent service. If there is something you want but don’t see in the store, just ask a sales associate, and they’ll see if they can get it for you. Most recently Keller’s added online gift and bridal registry services to the store, making registering even more enjoyable. And, as always, gift wrap is complimentary on all regularly priced merchandise.
